ETHOS - Vessels (2012, USA)

Andrew Gabriel

ETHOS Vessels

Vessels is the debut album by Ethos, a progressive rock band from Rome, Georgia. Ethos was formed in 2009 and consists of Austen Earp (lead vocals, piano, guitar, synthesizer), Matthew Palopoli (lead guitar, vocals), Nick Riggs (bass, vocals) and Tribb Robison (drums, percussion). The band skillfully combines heavy riffs with classical piano and melodic vocals while experimenting with multiple musical styles.

ANTON ROOLAART - The plight of lady Oona (2014, USA)

GFreedom Team

Anton Roolaart is a Dutch born/American raised musician and composer.

He grew up by listening mostly to Classical music because his father loved it very much, and at the age of 13 decided to study classical guitar. As a teenager he was exposed to the music of bands like Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis etc, which made him develop a passion for Progressive Rock music. While he was growing up he expanded his musical studies to Jazz guitar, Piano and Drums, and in the year 2007 he released his first personal album named 'Dreamer'. It was a decent and very promising album, but his second one which was released this year is a far better one.

SEDATE ILLUSION - What remains (2014, Greece)

Sedate Illusion 3

"What Remains" is the third release from Sedate Illusion, the project of Vangelis Kakarougkas, hailing from the beautiful island of Phaeacians. This album causes mixed feelings, with the balance tilting towards the positive side...

AISLES - 4:45am (2013, Chile)

Aeolus

AISLES

AISLES is a melodic Progressive Rock band from Chile, the first one that we have reviewed on justincaseradio. With their ‘4:45 AM’ album, they have convinced me that they are a force to be reckoned with in the progressive world.

GNU QUARTET - Karma (2014, Italy)

GNU QUARTET

Chamber prog or the "Apocalyptica of Prog"? Whichever way, the terms might give you an idea but are not sufficient in describing GnuQuartet's marvelous 30min "Karma".
